Well folks I probably can't say enough about this week. It was SO hard, and SO amazing, and SO stressful...it was the best.
Monday night we taught Bill the last lesson but he's still not sure about getting baptized--not because he doesn't believe in the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith and everything, we finally figured out, but because he's worried he won't be good enough and Jesus doesn't want him :( I'll have you all know that absolutely no one is good enough to receive all the blessings God has in store for us, and yet they are ours if we will but receive them! I shared with him a scripture I'll now share with you:
3 Nephi 9:14 Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me.
Jesus is always there waiting to receive us, but he can't force us to come! We invited Bill to make a decision, and then pray to ask if it's right. Hopefully good news coming next week on that regard!
On Tuesday we taught a woman named Louange who speaks English but grew up French! She's got the cutest family and loves Jesus Christ. She is from the Democratic Republic of Congo and quickly accepted the idea that Jesus Christ came to the Americas, "he came to Africa too!" she explained. That was plain awesome.
We also taught two other new people, which was perfect timing because the goal our Zone had this week was to find 18 new investigators and up until this week it'd been a while for us!
We met with Ed and Darla twice this week, the first time reading Alma 7 and testifying of Jesus Christ's Atonement and enabling power to change us. Darla decided to quite smoking, so on Saturday we helped them clean out their smokey garage and tonight we'll be doing the "Stop Smoking Workshop" with her! Woot woot! Both have been coming to church for a month now!
We've been meeting off and on with Bekah, a cute 18 year old who used to be taught by missionaries in the past, and this week she totally was on it and decided to come to church! It was such a great sight seeing her walk into the church! We're also continually meeting with Lucy (who was baptized this month) and other members we love and serve. What a wonderful place this is!
That's it for me, how are you all doing?
Love yas!!
