Sister Hardy and I had a rough week in a lot of ways, but I'm excited to turn things around in my last six weeks in Sikeston! I feel very lucky to be staying here another transfer, there are so many people I've grown to love.
More than anything, I've learned how to rely on my Heavenly Father. The first thing we share with people is the simple but profound truth that God is our loving Father in Heaven. Most people nod and smile--as do I--but I have found that as I've grown to understand that more and more, and drawn closer to Him, my perception of myself, of others, and of the world has changed. There is so much more happiness and light, which are things we all need in the storms and shadows of life.
I invite you all to seek to be closer to God and feel his perfect love. I know it will change your life too.
